Short Story Competition
Contact2016, the 55th National Speculative Fiction Convention, are proud to invite entries to the Natcon amateur short story competition, sponsored by Australian Science Fiction Foundation! Since 1992 the Australian Science Fiction Foundation (ASFF) has provided sponsorship funds to the Australian National Science Fiction Convention (The Natcon) to run an Amateur SF competition. We are pleased to announce the Contact2016 competition, with cash prizes going to adult and junior winners, along with publication in the conbook.

Theme: Close Contact
Is it a close encounter? A missed connection? A deflected asteroid? A cultural misunderstanding?
Riff on the theme and surprise us with your best speculative fiction story.

Bath Short Story Award 2016

We invite local, national and international entries from published and unpublished writers.

Closing date: Monday, April 25th, 2016 at midnight BST

Entry fee: £8. Enter online or by post

Short stories of up to 2200 words in all genres, styles welcome.  No lower word limit.

Bristol Short Story Prize 2016

the Bristol Short Story Prize – an annual international writing competition open to all published and unpublished, UK and non-UK based writers. We publish an annual anthology of the winning stories as well as presenting cash prizes.

The 2016 Bristol Short Story Prize is open. The closing date for entries is midnight on April 30th, 2016.
